Madison Heights Children's Ministry

Jesus said, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children"

The Children's Ministry at MHBC seeks to educate children spiritually and emotionally in the biblical principles that will shape their whole lives. Through Bible study, interactive games and activities, and spiritual instruction, our staff and volunteers show God's love and care to the many children who join our groups weekly. On Sunday mornings, children can participate in Sunday School for their appropriate ages. During Sunday morning Worship, nursery and preschool classes are offered for our young learners. Children in grades 1-5 are invited to attend our Children's Church. This time consists of games, crafts, activities, and Bible lessons with relevant themes to the children's lives. We encourage our children to attend "Big Church" as often as possible so they may worship with the entire Church congregation. In addition to Sunday activities, during our school year, children can attend Wednesday choir and missions programs just for them. Check the church calendar for starting dates and times. We offer a variety of children's activities outside of Sunday and Wednesdays. Some examples include Vacation Bible School in June, Halloween Bash, Christmas party, Easter Egg Hunt, and more. Children are important to our church. Some say "children are the future" but we say they are our present. If you are interested in joining a children's ministry, call the church office to speak with the Youth and Children's minister.

Madison Heights Baptist Youth Ministry

At Madison Heights Baptist Church, we believe our Youth are a vital part of the congregation. With this in mind, we seek to provide them with opportunities to explore, grow and mature in their Christian faith. We care about who they are and who they are becoming.

Sunday Night Youth Group
6:30-8 pm

Each Sunday night, Youth have the opportunity to join together in Bible Study and fellowship. We share a snack supper and spend quality time together. In addition, we use a variety of methods including videos, interactive games, object lessons, music, current events, and more to explore the Bible and how it applies our lives. From these scripture teachings, we challenge our Youth to live a life of justice, mercy, and humbleness.

Youth Activities

In addition to Sunday night activities we plan weekend outings like putt-putt, movies, amusement park trips, sporting events, bonfires, and more. We annually support church-wide mission projects like Operation Christmas Child and the Teddy Bear ministry for Gleaning for the World. Our two biggest Youth events are Vacation Bible School and the Winter Retreat. Finally, every other year, our Youth take a Mission Trip.

Each activity, service project, or trip gives our Youth a chance to share their gifts and grow closer to God and one another.

Leadership

Youth events and activities are planned by the Youth Minister in coordination with the Youth Council and Youth Student Leadership. This team of individuals is a caring group of people who seek to develop and nurture the lives of our young people. Interested adults and Youth need only to talk to the Youth Minister about becoming involved.
